Shonen Onmyouji

Shonen Onmyouji

This week, we join the journey of a young onmyouji with the supernatural ability that enable him to see spirits! Embark on a quest where dangerous encounter awaits him!

Front: Masahiro
Back: Guren/Mokkun

Storyline
Set on surpassing his legendary grandfather as the best onmyouji (artist of magic and divination), Abe must unlock his sealed powers, fight demons and protect the princess of the Fujiwara Clan.

Adapted from a popular long running novel, Shonen Onmyouji explores the world of onmyoudou, the art of magic and divination used in the courts of ancient Japan; and onmyouji, the practitioners of these arts.

The story revolves around the life of Abe no Masahiro, cocky, clumsy grandson to the famed onmyouji of real Japanese legend, Abe no Seimei. While alternately being taught and taunted by his famous and powerful grandfather since young, Masahiro's overwhelmingly strong sixth sense and spiritual sight were sealed for his own safety until the day he should be old enough to control them.

Masahiro's adventure truly begins when he crosses paths with a spirit he calls Mokkun, and which looks like a cross between a cat, bunny and monkey. The spirit seems to know of him and his grandfather; and Masahiro later discovers that Mokkun, in his true form, becomes Guren, one of the 12 spirits or shikigami summoned to protect his grandfather.

With Mokkun as his guide and protector, and his grandfather his silent aide, Masahiro begins to unlock his hidden powers and abilities, following his destiny to become a powerful and respected onmyouji, far greater than his grandfather ever was.

Media:
Opening Theme: Egao no Wake
Closing Theme: Yakusoku

My End Verdict:
With continuous and exciting on going quest after the accomplishment of one and another that will guarantee your satisfaction. Unpredictable plot definitely cracks viewer's mind on who is the mysterious evil caster.

Beijing Olympics

Beijing Olympics

It triggers my blogging mode to post about how well the Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony has been. It was a fabulous success, and its one of the biggest torch ever appeared in the Olympics over the years!

Though the ceremony was suppose to be directed by Steven Spielberg, unfortunately he's involved in some boycott issues, and can't made it haha (wonder how it will be like if it was Spielberg who directed). Anyhow, their local director did a good job too as the performances was splendid through out the whole ceremony! Where you get the feel the flowing of time from the history and tradition to the modern of China.

Spent my 4 hours watching it is simply worth and all. If you miss it, watch the repeat as I can assure you will not regret it. I'm sure if you have watch it, you will agree ;D

Marvelous indeed, hoorays to China. May this Olympics herald a new meaning, new time of happiness and success, and good luck to those Bei Jing Olympics contestants too! ;D!

August888

August, 888

The yellow leaf dances as the wind blows, together with a familiar scent was once to be inhaled again when we bid adieu to the month of July and entering the fearsome month of the Hungry Ghost. According to Chinese culture, it is believed that the time of year when hungry ghosts are released from "hell" to roam freely is a dangerous month.

Tips:
It is a good idea during this month to have more yang than yin energy, so wearing bright colours is better than wearing sombre colours.

During the 1st of August, a rather unwary total eclipse of the sun occurred, a phenomenon where the moon passes between the Earth and the sun. Many people symbolised this as a creation by Mother nature which signify lavish beauty; however, in China, it is believed the dragon swallows the sun during an eclipse. As a result, they would beat drums to produce great noise and commotion to frighten away the dragon, so a solar eclipse is not regarded as a good sign.

The eclipse will be visible in across a wide swath of the globe—including northeastern North America along with most of Europe and Asia. In most places people will be able to see a partial eclipse, but in Russia, many parts of India and China, a full eclipse can be seen in the late afternoon.

Scientists value total eclipses, in part because they provide a rare glimpse of the corona, which is usually obscured by the glow of the sun, but to many peoples across Asia a total eclipse of the sun is a sign of bad things to come - in the past these events were usually linked to famine, wars and the death of kings ....

This total solar eclipse visible over China and occurring a week before the Beijing Olympics is certain to cause consternation amongst the superstitious. In fact most Chinese astrologers predict some turbulence, which can affect the stock markets and perhaps spill over on to the streets. According to astrology experts in Hong Kong, the eclipse could bring some political turbulence and problems to the transport and communication networks in Beijing during the Games.

Although all this are emitted from the myths of ancient Chinese, how true this myths are its best to not relate it to the 888, commence of the Beijing Olympics. As we all believe that the great amount of diligence endowed by China to this event will promised a begotten delight performances to all.

Don't forget to watch the open ceremony of Beijing Olympics ;D

Ain't those pandas cute? ;D

p.s: this is a totally based on superstitious, and could be pompous and meaningless to you. haha ;D

Of Reunited, Mummies and Gasoline?

Of Reunited, Mummies and Gasoline?

Do you know that the Chinese belief when butterfly visits/enter your home

it signify a distanced relative or close member is about to come visit!

and hey this is so true: (not superstitious k!)

This little butterfly came flying into our house on the 28 July last monday, and guess what! My bro just came back from UK the next day xD

And that is another reason why Im so late in updating this post :P

Ok, obviously I won't post many photos about my parents and bro's trip embarked from Birmingham to Amesbury in a rented mini car xD
Instead, here is a simple outline of
Places I missed out for baby-sitting my sis T__T

1. Stone Henge
According to the pictures taken, that is one nice heritage! Why so nice? cause its situated in an agriculture area whereby you get to stand on green green grass below a very very blue sky with nothing around you except for stones and more stones! Seriously its has a very pleasent attribute that makes you wanna "aahhhhhh" out loud and let it go >=)

2. Cadbury Factory
For this specific trip to the Cadbury chocolate factory, it cost RM63 per entry!!!!! But as for my bro, he has student price. So what happened was while my parents saved the money shopping in their outlets, my bro went in alone xD

3. Manchester United Museum
Ahhh... they got so lucky that day, as they bought their MU jersey, they are permitted to have their picture taken with the actual, real Football Premier League trophies! I dont regret much about this, cause Im not a football fanatic person, but am happy for them xD

4. Oxford University!
They bought me a sweatshirt and a key chain xD
Appreciate! ty

5. Shopping
What can you buy as souvenirs when it comes to shopping in UK? Well, for me it will be a ton of M&S goods and chocolates and cookies... its way cheaper there, since its their product produced locally and its free from tariff, unlike here :P

Haha.. I'm so gonna gain weight from this!
Hopefully xD

Of Reunited
Ok, as promised earlier, a welcome back feast for big bro xD
Haha, mama really over-bought our dinner this time!
She said... reunion dinner ma, must have plenty plenty of food!
<3>

Of Mummies
First week of our uni is sorta relaxing in a way since we only have our lectures and no tutorials =) So we went for a movie after our FA lecture on last Thursday (1st August)

Watched
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
The movie was ok, nothing to woah about, but there is something to laugh about
rating 8/10

Of Gasoline
Dined in Gasoline for our lunch, later that day
The food was ok but the service was horrible!
I honestly think the waiter that serve our table was only a primary student! Child abuse wei ;O

Haihz, forgot to bring my camera, luckily my N75 saved me ;D

Introducing...(L-R)
Peter from Indonesia (ty SR xD), Jennifer, Sandra, Me and Vincent from Johor

One more time! (L-R)
Me, Sandra, Li-Lynn, Ian, Wilson, Ting Kang, Yean Sia, Peter, Jennifer and Vincent
Got it? haha

Some of us, we barely met for the first time
And there we are!
Chatting so casually among ourselves as if we knew each other for years xD

Again!
Sometimes

*peeps*
