Sorry for my long absences from blogging, right now I'm seriously nervous about my upcoming finals and yet I still didn't receive my exams schedule Zzzzz

Anyway, for today's post I'll blog based on a series of discrete past events, since I don't have a proper blog title and content to it, or maybe I'm just plain lazy or wateva.

#1 HAPPY BIRTHDAY

First and foremost, happy belated birthday to my beloved blog. Happily aged of 1 year since, 23 October 2008, coincidentally it was Deyao birthday as well, happy belated birthday to Deyao once again. Haha my blog shares the same birthday as Deyao.. ok being lame here xD

#2 BBQ during the study break

This harks back the days during the study break, way way back but not so back, you get my point! Held a little BBQ gathering with some of my peers. =)

Coal, starter, barbecue equipments... check! =)
and the fire flames resembled the commencement of our little feast

#3 Pasar Malam/Night Market

Having to attend 4 block lectures consecutively in 4 weeks... erm pardon, 3 weeks and another Microecons next week since this week is made impoosible in conjuction with Deepavali celebration. haihz never thought I'll felt the exhausion again since semester 1.

Anyway, after last week Finance Accounting block lecture ended, joined my friends to SS2 pasar malam =)

A simple trip to the night market and a detour to the park to save us from the unbearable heat, is a definitely reminiscent of ones childhood where we used to go to the park on evening and playing carefreely. Yeah, stoping by at the park has definitely commemorate my childhood days.

Big Windup

Big Windup

Many regarded Big Windup as Yaoi, which is partially true! Yaoi in Japanese means Boys' Love or Brotherly Love - BL. However, there are two genres of it, firstly we have the homoerotic type - "gay manga" which I do not wish to explain myself further and also the "straight" type such as Captain Tsubasa and Kyo Kara Maoh. Many manga artist carefully distinguish these two when it comes to Yaoi/BL content manga. And definitely Big Windup is considered to be fall under the "straight" category haha :P

Follow the journey of Ren Mihashi, as he helps his school's baseball team fight their way to the top of Japan's high school baseball championship.

Storyline

The Big Windup! follows the journey of Ren Mihashi, the ace pitcher of his middle school's baseball team. However, it seems like he only got the position through his grandfather's connections, and thus endures constant bullying by the other players, who do not believe in his skills.

Believing himself to be a lousy player, Ren is determined to quit baseball. However, things do not go as planned when he is persuaded into joining the baseball team of his new high school.



With his new teammates encouraging him and assisted by his new teammates, especially the catcher, Takaya Abe, Ren gradually rediscovers his confidence in his baseball ability. He grows in stature, confidence and skill, helping his team excel with his own abilities and becomes a key player in the team.

Can Ren and his team fight their way to the top of Japan's high school baseball championship? Find out by tuning in to The Big Windup!

My End Verdict:
Big Windup gradually catches my attention with their vivid brotherly relationship among the team players. Deep platonic relationship witnessed, which make this anime so irresistible and unique. On the downside, the shortfall of this anime is distinctively visible as well, the big game in every baseball match is somewhat unenthusiastic to me. Could have been more interesting!

As the world crumble, came along a teenage Goddess to shape things up. The only thing that is holding her back was the lack of confidence in her ability. Is she really fit to be a Goddess? Check it out in Kamichu alias Teenage Goddess.

Storyline

Thus begins Yurie Hitotsubashi's new life, and the shy schoolgirl is completely uncertain about her sudden divinity. Yurie's best friend is little help: Mitsue is hardly impressed, true to her level-headed nature - in the world of Kamichu, gods and spirits are everywhere. But their classmate Matsuri has other ideas. Quickly declaring herself Yurie's new "best friend", she helps Yurie discover her powers - releasing a tornado in the process.

Accompanied by the loyal Mitsue and enthusiastic Matsuri - who tries to replace her family's Shinto shrine god with Yurie for profit - as well as her supernatural friends, like the kooky disillusioned god Yashima-sama with rock-star dreams, and the cat Tama, Yurie gradually comes to terms with her powers and newfound responsibilities. From granting wishes and fending off bad luck and hardship to handling aliens for the government, Yurie has to learn to protect her village even as she juggles school and an unrequited crush on clueless calligraphy talent Kenji.

My End Verdict:

Strangely enough this anime begins with Yurie being selected and choosen as Goddess. The reason to this is however not disclosed in the anime and keep viewers ponder upon this mysterious conclusion. Other than that, this anime consist many charming slice-of-life drama that straddles fantasy and reality with sweet elegance.

Despite that, the winner of the Excellence Award at the Japan Media Arts Festival 2005 is non other then, KAMICHU! With critics comparing KAMICHU's style and animation to hit anime movie Spirited Away, this surreal but sincere anime will touch the heart of any fan!

Sick Again

Sick Again

Just after a sleepless night, burning mid-night oil to complete my law assignment, I'm down with flu! Haihz... it got worst during the afternoon exactly 4:12pm. It was the beginning of my last day BIS block lecture.

Super excited yet super sickening, I still remember finishing 3 packets of tissue within that 2 hours T___T. Sorry Ms Nina, hope my sneezing wasn't as loud as en elephant and disrupting your lecture... wtf.

Hiahz.. super sad, have to do my Econs assignment even under this circumstances. Enduring... please please get well the next morning T____T.
